Frequently asked questions.
How Do I Make An Appointment With You?
That’s pretty east! Call, text, email, or complete the contact form on this website.
From there, we can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit for each other. If we both feel good about moving forward, we’ll set up your first appointment. If not, I’m happy to help you find someone who might be a better match.
The number one predictor of successful therapy outcomes is having a good relationship with your therapist, so let’s make sure it’s the right match!
What are your fees?
This question is straightforward to answer:
The fee for a single session (50-60 minutes) costs $145 for an individual and $160 for couples and families. 90 minute sessions fees are $215 per individual session.
Do You Offer Payment Plans or other ways to afford care?
Payments are due when you receive services. There are no running tabs or bundled deals here – just straightforward payment for each session. Cash, check, and major credit cards. Sorry, I do not accept Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle.
I have limited openings for sliding-scale and pro-bono clients. You may complete the contact form on this website and request the application. I hold sliding scales/pro-bono spots for individuals with limited financial means.
Do You Accept Insurance?
In choosing to have a cash (non-insurance) practice, I can provide a guaranteed confidential experience. It’s like a covert mission for your mental well-being.
I am considered an out-of-network provider for all insurance plans, meaning I do not work directly with insurance companies. However, I’m happy to give you a Superbill receipt, which you can submit to your insurance for some out-of-network fee reimbursement, depending on your plan benefits.
I prefer that therapy be genuinely confidential and not report or provide a “prescription” to insurance providers. This way, we protect your vulnerability (no labeling) and give no diagnoses on your records. However, I do understand finances, if you choose, I can create a receipt for you. You may submit it to receive credit toward your deductible.
Often, clients can get back 50-80% of their costs once they’ve met their out-of-network deductible. PPO plans usually offer the best reimbursement rates for out-of-network providers.
To help you navigate this, here are some handy questions to ask your insurance about your out-of-network benefits for individual therapy sessions:
Do I have an out-of-network (OON) deductible? If so, how much is it?
How much of my OON deductible have I met this calendar year?
After my deductible is met, what percentage of session fees will be reimbursed?
Is there a limit on how many sessions will be reimbursed?
How do I submit Superbill receipts?
What Is Your Cancelation Policy?
I reserved the time for you. If you need to cancel, please give me a 48-hour advanced heads-up to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Do I Have To Be A Christian To Work With You?
Here’s the bottom line – Being a Christian is not mandatory! Whoever you are, I’m all about welcoming and creating a safe space. While incorporating faith and spirituality can be essential to healing, each person comes with a different definition. I am a Christian; It’s my choice to choose Jesus and love. YOU determine how little or how much you bring into the mix.
Is EMDR Only For Trauma?
EMDR treats more than trauma; EMDR is also used for performance enhancement to improve your ability to excel in business, amp up athletic performance, and enhance relationships.
Why Do You Have Motorcycles On Your Webpage?
Simple… I like motorcycles. I ride one to the office. Riding my motorcycle brings me joy and happiness. Being on a motorcycle also reminds me of being on a healing journey.
